to life
Between 2025 and 2045, BASE2545 is building a material archive of our time. We bring writers, thinkers, artists, musicians and scientists into dialogue with master craftspeople. Together, they give tangible form to an idea that defines our time: a Tijdsbeeld.
Creating such an object requires exceptional craftsmanship, as well as the commitment of people and organisations who believe that the ideas of today deserve a place in the future. That is why we invite companies to become a Patron of a Tijdsbeeld.
More than acquiring an object
As a Patron, you select an existing Tijdsbeeld and make its production possible. Once completed, your company becomes the owner of the work. In this way, the acquisition of a unique object becomes an act of cultural engagement.
How that engagement takes shape is something we determine together. Possibilities include a studio visit for clients, employees or business relations, a meeting with the voice or craftsperson behind the work, or a private presentation of the completed Tijdsbeeld. Your company will also be acknowledged as a Patron in the BASE2545 archive and its accompanying documentation. In this way, the Tijdsbeeld acquires a place within your organisation, while your contribution remains part of the cultural story that BASE2545 is building between 2025 and 2045.
Your Tijdsbeeld, curatorially independent
As a Patron, you select the Tijdsbeeld with which your company feels a genuine connection. By making its production possible, you become the owner of the work. This ownership does not affect its conceptual or artistic independence.
The selection of voices and craftspeople, the artistic concept and all production decisions remain the responsibility of BASE2545. This allows us to safeguard the integrity of every Tijdsbeeld.
As a Patron, you are therefore not purchasing influence over the idea. You are enabling an autonomous work to take shape and, subsequently, to find a meaningful place within your own environment.
